Hideki Tsuji
Hideki joined the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (now the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry) in 1997, engaged in Kyoto Protocol negotiations (COP3), venture business promotion, and energy policies. After serving as COO in an internet/software development startup and facilitating its exit by selling to Japan’s largest technology firm. Hideki joined the University of Tokyo Edge Capital (UTEC) in 2006. Over 16.5 years, Hideki supported deep tech startups from co-founding to exit as a director and served as the Co-Investment Director of UTEC Fund 2. Hideki co-founded ONE Innovators in 2023.

Shu Shimada, PhD.
Shu joined Dai Nippon Printing in 2004, focusing on semiconductor materials research and development, and spearheaded new digital business initiatives in the management planning department. Shu became CTO/COO of a fuel cell startup in 2012 and led the company to an exit in 2019. Following that, Shu launched a CVC team at JX Metal, promoting collaborations with startups emerging from domestic and international universities. Shu co-founded ONE Innovators in 2023.

Takayuki Shimizu
Takayuki joined Sanwa Bank (now MUFJ Bank) in 1986, where he engaged in corporate sales, government bond trading, and worked in the planning department of a think tank. In January 1996, he was seconded to Sanwa Capital (now Mitsubishi UFJ Capital), where he played a pivotal role in launching the firm's first venture fund. Over the following 28 years, he primarily focused on investments in the deep tech sector, adopting a lead hands-on investment style. Takayuki also managed limited partnership investments in major university-affiliated venture capitals as the academia liaison. Despite holding a senior executive position, he remained a frontline playing manager until his retirement. Following his retirement from Mitsubishi UFJ Capital, Takayuki joined ONE Innovators in July 2024.
